Gulf Coast RC&D Outreach Initiative
Through the coordination of Gulf Coast RC&D and local USDA Agencies, community outreach activities have been conducted in the past to organize and conduct community outreach meetings, workshops, and tours to highlight USDA programs and services. Outreach efforts have been instrumental in reaching out to under-served areas to provide USDA program information and opportunities.
The Outreach meetings, workshops, and tours will be organized and conducted in targeted communities in Baldwin, Escambia, and Mobile Counties, and with the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. The purpose of these meetings, workshops, and tours is to increase USDA/NRCS programs and services by informing those who may be socially disadvantaged, with limited resources, women, veterans, and beginning farmers and ranchers in Alabama of the available programs.
